(Note: This is not by any means expert tutorial and I’m by no means camera expert. This is just to give some nutshell information to beginning photographers)

Aperture aka A-mode

What is aperture?

Aperture means how wide is lens opening. Lens opening controls amount of light that gets let through to film or censor. Aperture value is often presented as F-stop number (F-Value). Large aperture is small F-stop and small aperture is large F-stop. It sure sounds like confusing but read on.

I have added new forum design and new forums for those interested in photography. New forums will include loads of interesting sections:

• Discussion about photography and HDR.
• Share your shots -section, where you can get feedback of your shots
• Challenges – section. I will add challenges here where you can compete against other photographers on various subjects. Every challenge will get three winners that get featured on front page! Winners are decided by admins.
